My birthday is July 1st

Hello, hello,

Well the weather here has been sunny and crisp. At least that is how I would describe it. The poeple here inform me that it is cold. But it is more like a nice fall day in my mind.

This month has been pretty relazed. I have been busy with Girl Guides we are planning our opening ceremony, since is the first year this group has been in existance (group=troop), so we are planning an Inaguration Ceremony of sorts. I think it is going to be lots of fun. I will tell you all about it after it happens next week. We also had a campfire last weekend with the Boy Scouts, and somehow I got roped into running it. The weather was perfect for a campfire. And we had a great spot near the ocean. The next day my voice was a little horse from leading songs, but that is a small price to pay for a good evening.

Garden update: it is still dirt. And that is the end of that. Our brick and plant party was successful, but most of the plants we recieved ended up on the balcony because they needed sunlight and our back garden does not get any. And we only got one brick, but it did have a lovely bow on it. It is still on our picnic table to remind us of the work we have to do.

I have a vacation planned! The third week in July, I will be going to Southern New South Whales (the State I live in) to go down hill skiing. Yes folks I have moved to a country where have the residnets have never seen snow and I am going to go skiing for the first time in my life.

And the last bit of news: this coming weekend is my birthday. In the past 10 years or so I have not made a big deal of my birthdya but I feel I should for some reason. But I still do not know what I want to do. Hurumph. But if you would like to send me a card or anything here is my address:

16 Don St
Newtown, NSW 2042
Australia

Yes, I know, I am completely shameless. Now ask: do I care? And the answer is: not really. And for those who do not know I am going to be 27.

I think that is all, so it has not been an exciting month, which is fine, because I have plenty in the works.

Now for the only reason some of you read this update, vocabulary, this time it is filled with slang:

Australian: American:
Heaps Really (As in: That is heaps cool)
Sick Wicked (As in: The band is sick, mate)
Yobbo Hick
Daggy To describe how one is dressed. An example would be if you saw someone wearing joggers that are worn thin and going out, they would be daggy.
Feral Savage, Nasty (As in: The food at that restaurant is feral.; This is never used in a good sense)
Joggers Sweat suit (Sweats)

As always this will be posted on my web site. And I now have a computer at home, I still need to set it up. I am still the procrastinator I have always been. Once that is done I will put more pictures on the website.

Take Care,
Tia
