| Counting down to the AIDS Ride
June 11, 1999:
Hello!
I am sending this letter to all those who have
sponsered me or
have told me they are interest in sponsoring
me for the AIDS Ride.
It is now a month before I am off to Minneapolis
to spend 6 days on my
bike. I am excited, nervous, and a bit
scared. Those all seem like I am
right on track with what I should be feeling
before starting such an
adventure.
I want to thank everyone who has sponsored me
so far, I have been amazed
by the generosity of everyone. $2738 from
you will go to 6 AIDS
organizations! Thank you. If you
still have not sponsored me there is
still time! Just talk to me and I
can get you another pledge form if
needed or down load it from http://tiagirl.com/aidsride/pledge.html.
Training! Training! Training! Well my bike
and I have become great
friends I have ridden her to Dexter, Chelsea,
South Lyon, and all over
the great town of Ann Arbor.
I still have not named my bike! If any of
you have an idea of what I can
name her, I am open to ideas. She is a
royal blue, Bianchi Road Bike. I
think if I am going to spend that much time with
a travelling companion
she deserves a name.
I have also joined the Ann Arbor Rowing Club.
I figured it uses similer
muscles and keeps me from getting bored.
I have lost 30 pounds since I
started training, though I am still the voluptuous
girl I have always
been. I am just a buffer version
of me.
I just wanted to touch base with you all.
If you have any questions,
cycling advice, or words of encouragement
I would love to hear them.
Hope this finds all of you well.
Take Care,
Tia
